Financial Analyst II – Immunology Finance
Location: Mettawa, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week
Work Model: Hybrid (Monday & Friday Remote; Tuesday–Thursday Onsite)
Flexibility required, as occasional on-site work may be needed on Mondays or Fridays based on project deadlines.
Contract: 12 Months (potential extension based on performance and business needs)
Pay Rate: Up to $38/hr (depending on benefits selection)

Orion Group is seeking a Financial Analyst II to support our global pharmaceutical client's Immunology Finance organization. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Immunology Finance, this role plays a key part in improving financial planning processes, automating reporting tools, supporting forecasting cycles, and providing insightful financial analysis for leadership.

Key Responsibilities
- Support enhancement, automation, and continuous improvement of GOAT (Franchise/Consolidation Planning) files.
- Evaluate existing planning files and working papers, identifying opportunities to streamline, standardize, and improve reporting structures.
- Develop standardized spending category frameworks across planning files.
- Create automated data refresh processes using SAP actuals and improve Power BI/Power Query reporting capabilities.
- Assist with SAP BPC planning cycles including:
- Annual Plan
- Latest Best Estimates (LBEs)
- Long Range Planning (LRP)
- Support budgeting activities for promotional, marketing, and sales force expenses across the U.S. Immunology business.
- Analyze monthly financial results against forecasts and identify risks, trends, and opportunities.
- Assist with monthly close activities including:
- Headcount reporting
- Variance analysis
- Financial reporting packages for leadership
- Provide backup support across the finance team as needed.
- Participate in ad hoc financial analyses and process improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4+ years of finance or accounting experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with:
- SAP
- SAP BPC
- Power BI
- Power Query
- Strong financial analysis and problem-solving abilities
- Experience working with budgeting, forecasting, planning, and variance analysis
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information to business partners
- Experience improving or automating financial reporting processes
- Experience supporting planning and forecasting cycles within a large corporate environment
- Pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience is a plus
- Continuous improvement mindset with strong attention to detail
