Financial Analyst – Operations Manufacturing & Engineering (IME)
Pay Rate: $35–$38/hour (based on benefits selection)
Location: North Chicago, IL
Work Model: Hybrid (Monday & Friday remote; Tuesday–Thursday onsite)
Contract Length: 3 months, with potential for extension based on performance and business needs
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST
 
Role Overview
The Financial Analyst will support Operations, Internal Manufacturing & Engineering (IME) by leading the consolidation and analysis of monthly financial reporting across 23 global manufacturing sites and multiple headquarters functions. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting for Actuals, Plan, Update/LBE (Last Best Estimate), and LRP (Long-Range Plan) cycles.
This position requires strong financial acumen, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the consolidation and preparation of Monthly Actuals management review packages for Operations – IME, including global manufacturing sites and HQ functions
  • Prepare and analyze Manufacturing HQ P&L for Actuals, Plan, LBE, and LRP, with a strong focus on identifying and explaining key variances against benchmarks
  • Support the consolidation and preparation of management review materials for Plan, Update/LBE, and LRP cycles
  • Partner cross-functionally with global manufacturing sites, Operations HQ, and FP&A to ensure alignment, accuracy, and timely delivery of reporting
  • Drive process and system improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, consistency, and data quality
  • Perform ad hoc financial analyses to support complex operational and strategic decision-making
  • Operate independently while balancing competing priorities and meeting tight reporting deadlines

  • Advanced Excel proficiency (financial modeling, large data sets, pivots, lookups, variance analysis)
  • Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously while meeting aggressive timelines
  • Clear communication and comfort working with global stakeholders
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Finance or Accounting preferred
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in Finance and/or Accounting
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or operations finance strongly preferred
  • Ability to execute priorities with speed, accuracy, and agility
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to synthesize data into meaningful insights
  • Experience with SAP, BPC, and/or Power BI is a plus
  • CPA and/or MBA desirable
  • Plant or cost accounting experience a plus
