Job Purpose
Take an active role in the Group Finance team, providing high-quality monthly, half-year, and year-end consolidated financial results, along with detailed financial analysis and reconciliations.

Responsibilities / Key Objectives

  • Prepare monthly consolidated reporting, ensuring adherence to guidelines, policies, and recommended accounting practices.
  • Provide monthly analysis and insights on actual reported results.
  • Calculate and post consolidation journals within the consolidation system.
  • Support finance teams in resolving technical accounting and process queries, ensuring timely and accurate monthly consolidation.
  • Administer the financial consolidation system (Cognos Controller) and support monthly close activities.
  • Provide guidance on technical accounting matters, including assisting in the preparation of key documents and Audit Committee papers.
  • Coordinate and prepare half-year and year-end financial statements and disclosures.
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure smooth and efficient interim and year-end audits.
  • Coordinate the global statutory accounts process.
  • Support corporate projects, including the annual intra-group dividend process, balance sheet reorganisations, and step plans.
  • Assist with Monthly Performance Reports as required.
  • Perform analysis related to one-off business transactions.
  • Contribute to group-wide finance projects as needed.

Education & Experience

  • Degree qualified with a relevant certified or chartered accounting qualification.
  • “Big 4” experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year post-qualified experience (PQE).

Skills

  • Strong understanding and application of accounting principles, IFRS, policies, and processes.
  • Knowledge of financial systems and their effective use.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Experience with Cognos Controller (desirable).
