Orion Group is seeking an experienced Finance Data Governance & Project Manager to support our global pharmaceutical client's financial data governance, reporting, and systems enhancement initiatives.
This position will play a key role in maintaining and improving the CDL-F platform, ensuring data accuracy, managing system enhancements, and developing reporting capabilities that support financial planning and business decision-making.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in Finance or FP&A, hands-on data governance experience, and the ability to lead cross-functional projects involving financial systems, data integration, KPI development, and reporting.

What You'll Do
Data Governance & Quality Management
- Develop and maintain data governance tools, processes, and capabilities supporting the CDL-F platform.
- Manage updates to user security, system access, and reference tables.
- Establish and maintain data quality metrics to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of source and output data.
- Perform data quality checks and identify opportunities to improve data reliability and accessibility.
- Document data structures, governance processes, and user guidance.
- Gather business requirements and maintain project plans for new CDL-F deliverables and system enhancements.
- Manage inbound and outbound data connections, including requirements gathering, connection design, build, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities, manage project timelines, and ensure deliverables are completed on schedule.
- Identify opportunities to improve data flows, reporting processes, and system functionality.
- Support financial systems implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Define, develop, and maintain KPIs to measure data quality, operational performance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Create and maintain KPI tracking tools and reporting frameworks.
- Prepare ad hoc financial and operational analyses to support business decisions.
- Consolidate, analyze, and summarize information from multiple data sources.
- Develop and communicate weekly and monthly project status reports, highlighting progress, risks, and key deliverables.
- Partner with Finance, business stakeholders, and technical teams to align data governance activities with organizational objectives.
- Translate broad business requirements into actionable project plans and analytical deliverables.
- Communicate complex data and project information clearly to stakeholders across multiple functions and organizational levels.
- Proactively identify issues, recommend solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline.
- 7–10 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
- Strong experience in data governance, data quality management, and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including requirements gathering, project planning, stakeholder coordination, and implementation support.
- Experience defining, developing, tracking, and maintaining KPIs.
- 2–3 years of forecasting or budgeting experience within a large organization.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience analyzing and consolidating data from multiple sources to identify issues and support business decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and project updates to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and tight deadlines.
- Experience with Power BI, QlikView, Tableau, or Power Query.
- Experience with financial planning platforms such as Anaplan, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), TM1, or SAP BPC.
- SQL or database management experience.
- Snowflake experience.
- FP&A experience supporting financial systems implementations.
- Experience managing data integrations, system testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
- Experience developing automated reporting solutions and improving financial data processes.
- Previous experience in a large, complex corporate environment.
