We are seeking contract Field Process Operators to join one of our major clients and thier production team at their industrial complex in the Fort Saskatchewan area. In this role, you will support day-to-day (and/or night) operations and execute major Turnaround (TA) events across large-scale upgrader, refinery, chemicals, and carbon capture assets.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Execute routine field operator duties, equipment isolations, and monitoring to ensure safe unit operation.
  • Support turnaround scopes including plant shutdowns, vessel entries, decontamination, commissioning, and startup.
  • Maintain strict adherence to site safety, environmental, and drug-free workplace policies.
  • Work variable shift patterns, outdoors, and overtime during peak execution phases.
Must-Have Requirements:
  • Minimum 4th Class ABSA Power Engineer certification
  • 3+ years of recent, active experience in Sulphur Recovery Units (SRU) or Amine processing
  • Recent process operations experience (heavy industrial, refining, or gas processing)
  • Physical agility for climbing multi-level ladders, working at heights, entering confined spaces, and wearing SCBA/respirators
  • Active ESC or ACTI Fall Protection and Confined Space certificates prior to site orientation
  • Personal FR clothing and 6" CSA safety boots (specialized site PPE provided)
  • Valid driver’s license and local commuting capability (or self-funded relocation)
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada and successful completion of background checks
