Orion Group is hiring a Procurement Specialist who will support the Procurement Organization by providing sourcing, contracting, and category management services across multiple business functions. This role partners closely with the Procurement Category Associate Director and Category Team to execute procurement strategies at the transactional level while ensuring compliance with company policies and procurement processes.
The Procurement Specialist will play a key role in managing procure-to-pay activities, supporting supplier management initiatives, negotiating agreements, and driving operational efficiencies across procurement processes.

Orion Group is hiring a Procurement Specialist who will support the Procurement Organization by providing sourcing, contracting, and category management services across multiple business functions. This role partners closely with the Procurement Category Associate Director and Category Team to execute procurement strategies at the transactional level while ensuring compliance with company policies and procurement processes.
The Procurement Specialist will play a key role in managing procure-to-pay activities, supporting supplier management initiatives, negotiating agreements, and driving operational efficiencies across procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support procurement sourcing and category strategies established by the Category Team
- Guide internal stakeholders to approved buying channels and procurement processes for goods and services
- Contract review and redlining
- Bid summary preparation and justification
- Data analysis and reporting
- Master Service Agreements (MSAs)
- Statements of Work (SOWs)
- Other supplier contracts within the approved financial authority
- Manage standard Procure-to-Pay intake contract requests while meeting established service level agreements
- Enforce preferred supplier networks and ensure alignment with procurement policies and category strategies
- Assist in process improvement initiatives designed to enhance procurement efficiency and internal customer experience
- Maintain high ethical standards and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably within indirect procurement
- Experience supporting contract negotiations and supplier management
- Knowledge of Procure-to-Pay processes
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Strong analytical and financial acumen for cost analysis, budgeting, and savings identification
- Experience reviewing or negotiating Statements of Work and Master Agreements
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Procurement experience supporting Facilities Management or Real Estate Services
- Experience within a large corporate procurement organization
Work Environment
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
- Open office seating environment
- Collaborative team setting with both independent and cross-functional work
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1st shift
- Travel: None required
- Overtime: Not expected
- Interview Process:1–2 rounds of interviews conducted via Microsoft Teams and/or onsite
