Job Title: Equipment Qualification Co-Ordinator Lead (£40,000 - £60,000)

Location: Bristol

Background: This role offers an opportunity for an experienced Equipment Qualification Co-Ordinator to play a key role in the development of a new nuclear build. The role will be based in Bristol but may require travel to the site based in Bridgewater.

Role and Responsibilities: * The purpose of the role is to manage the equipment qualification from developed design through to the commissioning step, with the support of external designers, and interface with internal specialists * Develop, monitor, co-ordinate and control the overall equipment qualification strategy with support of suppliers * Challenge designer and suppliers to ensure verification and validation of intended approach can meet required external hazards and demands identified in NNB safety case documentation * Work with suppliers chain to identify appropriate components * Develop and control testing specifications for identified essential equipment that require additional testing * Support the Project Manager with the intended procurement strategy and raise any necessary alerts * Maintain engagement with Equipment Qualification leads within the Technical Directorate * Surveillance of subcontracted design activities * Perform design reviews, release hold points and accept design when fit for procurement / construction * Analyse and resolve any technical design issues presented by consultants and contractors * Manage technical interfaces * Raise alerts where necessary.

Qualifications and Experience: * Experience Degree qualified or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services Engineering discipline * Experience in plant equipment qualification / commissioning / design * Knowledge of RCC-M and RCC-E beneficial. Knowledge of EPRI standards and guides related to qualification of plant l * Experience of industrial boiler, steam generation, thermal process design * Knowledge of engineering procedures especially RIBA plan of work, or equivalent * Experienced in buildings standards and engineering procedures in the UK

This role will grow as the organisation and project develops, and both HPC & SZC have to be covered.
