EPCI Fabrication Manager

Orion Group are seeking an experienced EPCI Fabrication Manager to join the Company Team supporting a major upstream LNG development. This role will be based at the fabrication yard in Egypt, on a rotational arrangement, with occasional short missions to other project locations.

Scope / Focus

The position is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the fabrication workscope under a c. USD 1.5Bn EPCI contract awarded to a consortium.
More than 80 subsea structures and jumpers are to be fabricated under this scope (incl. PLETs, ILTs, valve skids, spools etc.).

You will manage the Fabrication Team (circa 8+ FTE at peak), drive contractor performance and ensure fit-for-purpose fabrication execution aligned with schedule, technical requirements, HSEQ expectations, and loadout targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Fabrication Team across all phases
• Ensure fabrication readiness, assess capability, challenge execution plans where required
• Monitor schedule, cost, quality, and HSE performance — implement corrective actions
• Maintain robust QA/QC and compliance to project technical requirements
• Interface closely with contractors, consultants, and internal discipline leads
• Ensure safe and on-time loadout of completed fabrications

Required Experience

• Minimum 20 years’ relevant oil & gas fabrication experience
• Minimum 15 years’ direct leadership of major fabrication workscopes
• Proven ability to manage large fabrication packages and challenge contractor delivery plans
• Clear, professional English communication – able to represent the project to stakeholders
