Job Title: Environmental Assurance Specialist
Location: Mozambique (rotational assignment)

This is a major international development with significant environmental and social performance dimensions. The role will be pivotal in ensuring compliance with internal, governmental, and lender reporting requirements across all phases of construction and operations.

The role will be pivotal in ensuring compliance with internal, governmental, and lender reporting requirements across all phases of construction and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the subject matter expert for environmental reporting systems and databases, including GHG, waste, water, and biodiversity data.
- Collect, review, and analyze environmental compliance and performance data to ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal stakeholders, lenders, and regulators.
- Lead periodic environmental emissions reporting, data verification, and audit processes.
- Support the development and implementation of the Project Environmental Management System.
- Coordinate management of change processes related to environmental data requirements.
- Identify and track GHG emissions reduction initiatives.
- Ensure environmental records are maintained in line with reporting obligations.
- Provide technical input on corporate environmental performance and compliance data.
- Large-scale, multi-billion-dollar LNG development.
- Remote project location in Northern Mozambique with challenging infrastructure and logistics.
- International, multidisciplinary workforce with peak site personnel of over 15,000.
- Rotational role with security and health mitigation measures in place.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of environmental practices, Oil & Gas operations, and GHG emissions reporting.
- Proven experience in environmental data management systems and databases.
- Familiarity with Environmental Management Systems, compliance standards, and performance tracking.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex environmental data.
- Previous experience in large-scale energy or infrastructure projects highly advantageous.
