Job description

We have a current opportunity for a Engineering Manager on a permanent basis.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to provide technical and functional leadership to the design engineering team to provide the required innovation, efficiency and technical competency to meet business needs. You will do this by providing infrastructure engineering design and detailing of roads, drainage, site levels together with ground modelling and SUDS design. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise internally as required to ensure technical excellence across all company areas. You will also ensure continual improvement of design activities/ output through effective use of design reviews, project feedback and lessons learned.

  • Educated to degree level or high level of experience in similar roles in the construction industry;
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of the latest relevant industry technical developments;
  • Strong communicator who is able to engage with stakeholders at all levels including executive level Directors;
  • Ability to engage with colleagues and provide clear advice verbally and within written reports and presentations;
  • A good understanding across a range of sustainability issues and services;
  • Previous experience of leading teams and people management;
  • Proficient in the use of Microdrainage and PDS design software and motivated.
