Engineering Lead (Piping - Greenfield)

We are seeking a highly experienced Piping Engineering Lead to oversee piping layout and design activities for major offshore compression facilities linked to onshore LNG assets. This role requires strong leadership in contractor management, technical decision-making, and ensuring safe, cost-effective, and schedule-driven project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead contractor piping engineering activities for offshore facility layouts
• Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant piping design aligned with industry standards
• Manage Greenfield & Brownfield piping layout requirements
• Review and validate 3D models for clash-free, constructible designs
• Oversee material selection considering corrosion, environment, and lifecycle cost
• Ensure robust stress analysis (thermal, dynamic, pressure-related) is applied
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
• Maintain alignment with project schedule, cost, safety, and quality objectives
• Interface with vendors and contractors (e.g., EPC level coordination)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 8+ years experience in piping engineering (offshore mandatory)
• At least 5 years in Brownfield projects (modifications, tie-ins)
• Strong expertise in:
  • Offshore piping layout design
  • Greenfield & Brownfield execution
  • Stress analysis (FIV / AIV awareness)
  • Material selection & corrosion mitigation
  • Industry codes & standards (ASME, etc.)
• Experience working with EPC contractors (e.g., Saipem or similar)
