Engineering Lead (Civil & Structural)

We are seeking an experienced Civil & Structural Engineering Lead to oversee FEED and EPC contractor engineering activities for a major LNG development project in Qatar. The successful candidate will ensure civil and structural designs meet project specifications, international standards, safety requirements, budgets, and schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee civil and structural engineering deliverables throughout FEED and EPC phases.
• Review contractor engineering designs, technical specifications, drawings, and compliance with applicable codes.
• Provide technical oversight for foundations, steel structures, drainage, geotechnical works, and associated infrastructure.
• Coordinate engineering interfaces with construction, procurement, quality, commissioning, and project stakeholders.
• Resolve complex engineering issues, technical deviations, and design changes.
• Monitor contractor performance, engineering progress, resource adequacy, and design integrity.
• Support brownfield engineering, commissioning, and system completion activities.
• Ensure compliance with SHES standards and project requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of engineering experience, including at least 4 years in Oil & Gas.
• At least 1 year in a supervisory, acting, or contractor/vendor oversight role.
• Experience working with oil and gas operators, EPC contractors, or engineering service companies.
• Experience with LNG facilities, sour gas facilities, or major offshore infrastructure, as applicable.
• Strong understanding of brownfield engineering and execution.
• Experience in large tank foundation design.
• Knowledge of geotechnical engineering, foundation design, drainage, precast concrete, structural steel, buildings, and dynamic equipment foundations.
• Strong knowledge of industry codes, standards, and engineering practices.
• Excellent English communication, technical coordination, and leadership skills.

Preferred Experience

• Berth design and seabed dredging.
• Blast-resistant structural design.
