We have a current opportunity for a Electrotechnical Work Preparator on a contract basis with a leading and international power infrastructure company (grid connections and power quality solutions).
The position will be based in Zaventem, Belgium.
Description:
As an Electrotechnical Work Preparator, you play a crucial role in supporting both the SCADA engineering team and the project management team. You assemble electrical/electronic cabinets ordered by customers. You ensure the connection of electricity, analog and digital signals, and the communication network. You load configuration software, perform hardware tests on the cabinet, and assist with software testing.
In the long term, you will also support customers during the testing phases at the office.
Additionally, you are responsible for administrative and logistical support of the engineering team: you check that all hardware is available for assembling the electrical cabinets and prepare the shipment of the materials to the customers. Finally, you assist the project management team with stock management.
Profile:
You preferably have a basic knowledge of electricity and are able to read electrical schematics.
You are proficient with a PC with Hitachi Energy software installed. You are also comfortable with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
You are an enthusiastic and practical employee, capable of working independently.
Because the job requires a high level of on-site presence, the electronics lab at the Zaventem office is your fixed workplace. Remote work is occasionally possible but kept to a minimum.
Language Skills:
Fluency in either French or Dutch is required; bilingualism (French/Dutch) is a plus. Basic knowledge of English (reading, comprehension) is also required.
Our role in supporting diversity and inclusion
As an international workforce business, we are committed to sourcing personnel that reflects the diversity and values of our client base but also that of Orion Group. We welcome the wide range of experiences and viewpoints that potential workers bring to our business and our clients, including those based on nationality, gender, culture, educational and professional backgrounds, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, disability, and age differences, job classification and religion. In our inclusive workplace, regardless of your employment status as staff or contract, everyone is assured the right of equitable, fair and respectful treatment.
