Staff core role
2/3 rotation in the North Sea (fixed platform)
Responsibilities:
- Fault finding and troubleshooting on a wide range of offshore electrical equipment
- Responsible to deliver safe, reliable maintenance aligned with company’s values and participate in safety programs
- Responsible for following all safety, environmental and regulatory rules applicable to facility and completes Control of Work requirements daily
- Responsible for identifying and knowing the tools, materials, and procedures prior to the execution of work
- Responsible for ensuring personal competency development tasks are completed
- Responsible for completing all work, especially regulatory compliance work, as planned
- Responsible for daily recording of pertinent work order information (failure reporting, improvements, time, request for master data changes, lessons learned, etc.)
- Responsible for following Work Management processes and standards within planning activities and monitoring the agreed upon KPIs, taking appropriate actions to close the deviations from target
- Responsible for adhering to a culture of reliability and continuous improvement
- Responsible for supporting planning development of maintenance plans
- Responsible for identifying improvement opportunities and basic defect elimination in the day-to-day execution of work
- Responsible for cleaning up work sites and returning unused materials to the storeroom at the completion of work
- Responsible to communicate job progress to the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure productivity and maximize wrench time when there is inefficient planning or a break in the schedule
- Responsible to achieve competence levels sufficient to deliver the role of REP
- Responsible to attain / maintain training & experience required to deliver designated duties as designated within the emergency response team offshore
Decision Rights:
- Performs all duties prescribed by content and schedule for Maintenance Permit to Work
- Performs all work scheduled for maintenance activity within the Plan
- Provides input to supervision on Technician competency progression and endorse assessments
- Performs immediate response to platform breakdown incidents
- Performs routine duties such as good housekeeping and equipment basic care as prescribed by the Equipment Reliability Strategies
- Performs completion and close out of all work orders assigned, including documentation of lessons learned while performing work order duties
- Performs and take appropriate action when recognising any defect or unsafe condition within workplace
Experience & Qualifications:
- A minimum of a HNC in a relevant discipline or an Accredited Apprenticeship Programme.
- Experience, either onshore or offshore, in the role of Electrical Technician.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills required to manage major incidents and emergencies.
- Ability to work extended periods of time offshore, on a rotational basis, on a production platform.
- Good understanding of safety management for Oil & Gas Production operations (or similar high hazard industry) and have demonstrated personal commitment to Safety.
