Role Purpose We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical & HVAC Engineer to support a LNG Bunkering Project
The role is part of the Commissioning & Start-up Team, reporting directly to the Commissioning & Start-up Site Lead, and is critical to ensuring the completeness, quality, and readiness of all Electrical and HVAC systems for safe plant start-up and operations.
This position requires strong technical authority, commissioning expertise on LNG facilities, and the ability to mentor and develop future operations personnel in a LEAN, multi-competency organisation.

Key Responsibilities Project Phase – Commissioning & Start-up Preparation
- Ensure quality and completeness of Electrical & HVAC commissioning documentation from Contractors and Vendors
- Verify readiness of Operational Test, Energisation, and Black Start procedures
- Monitor Contractor commissioning activities, including FATs when required
- Ensure proper management of engineering changes via Engineering Query processes
- Manage internal and external commissioning interfaces
- Ensure personnel and equipment comply with local electrical regulations
- Witness and monitor Electrical & HVAC commissioning activities onsite
- Ensure commissioning progress aligns with start-up priorities and sequencing
- Validate punch list items and follow up clearance
- Coordinate and optimise Vendor mobilisation for equipment start-up
- Control OTP execution and reporting for Electrical & HVAC systems
- Report immediately any event impacting commissioning or start-up
- Review and co-sign Commissioning dossiers, AOC, and Hand-over Certificates
- Ensure equipment preservation and maintenance during and after commissioning
- Ensure smooth handover, feedback, and training to Operations
- Maintain discipline master files reflecting “As Commissioned” status
- Implement and hand over Electrical isolation procedures to Operations
- Support development of Electrical & HVAC training programs and competency assessments
- Actively mentor and coach the project's technicians during transition to Operations
- Support continuous improvement of on-the-job training and competence assurance
- Ensure Electrical & HVAC activities are performed under approved procedures and PTW
- Ensure compliance with Omani law, Company rules, and international standards
- Master’s degree in Electrical and HVAC Engineering
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas industry
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in similar Electrical & HVAC roles
- Proven experience in LNG commissioning and operations on large onshore plants
- Strong knowledge of Electrical, HVAC, LNG process, and marine operations
- Excellent leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional coordination skills
- Fluent English mandatory
