We have a current opportunity for a Ruya Batch 1 RP EIT Superintendent on a temporary basis. The position will be based in Doha/Oman. For further information about this position please apply.
  • To promote & comply with applicable safety instructions and other COMPANY HSE procedures in all activities.
  • To carry out work in compliance with COMPANY values and policies, relevant laws, and regulations, agreed COMPANY priorities and objectives, COMPANY standards and procedures and good industry practices.
  • To treat all information obtained during course of the work with confidentiality.
  • Review and monitor the availability of drawings, specifications, job instructions, material deliveries and tools.
  • Review and approve all Method Statements from CTR within his field of competence.
  • To ensure the E&I materials and certifications to be used for construction/installation are in-accordance with project
  • requirement as shown in the project documentations such as specifications, data sheets, MTO, detail installation drawings, etc.
  • To ensure the timely completion of Site engineering activities to the specified E&I standards and specifications, liaise with
  • COMPANY Detail engineering specialists, including Telecoms.
  • To ensure the Technical Building fabrication (ITR & ETR) and equipment installation as per Approved for Construction (AFC)
  • project drawings, specifications, Procedures and Site Instructions.
  • To ensure that equipment installation and cables connection are in-accordance with project’s requirement and applicable codes,
  • rules, standards, and in-compliance with safety requirement.
  • Provide a technical advice and guidance for engineering in the event of any TQs (technical queries) or any construction change raised by contractors.
  • Monitor Contractor’s detailed daily and weekly progress and work plans in accordance with the overall planning schedule.
  • Inform the Construction Superintendent & Head of construction on specific areas where the program deviates from approved
  • construction schedule and propose mitigations.
  • Responsible for monitoring contractor’s labor resources in accordance with approved mobilization plan and to ensure they
  • include all required activities as realistic timelines, logical sequencing, adequate resources.
  • Ensure Contractors personnel have sufficient training and experience to carry out safe operations.
  • Identification and follow-up of any Non-Conformance linked to Fabrication (NCRs).
  • Review manufacturing records books
  • To verify the completeness and correctness of the as built drawings and manage the final project documentation and ensure the complete handover to NOC Commissioning team.
  • Coordinate closely with the Pre-commissioning coordinator during pre-commissioning phase and with Commissioning Team.
  • Coordinate closely with other disciplines (STR, PVV, ICSS/INS, HSE, HVAC, etc)
  • Coordinate & ensure that all E&I tasks are properly registered / captured in ICAPS
  • Ensure the correct implementation of the Permit to Work system.
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering and construction
Minimum Experience:
  • At least 15 years’ experience in offshore piping fabrication the offshore oil & gas project, with minimum 3 years’ experience in fixed platforms – topside and/or jacket.

  • Familiar with General Specifications, relevant codes
  • Ex (ATEX, EEHA) experiences
