We currently have an opportunity for an E&I Trainer role. This position is based in Salalah, Oman.
Position title: E&I Trainer
Contract duration: 1 year (Extendable)
Location: Salalah, Oman.
Qualification Requirement:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical or Electronics Engineering
Roles & Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing comprehensive technical training and development programs within the Maintenance function. This includes assessing training needs, developing training materials, delivering both theoretical and practical training, and conducting on-the-job training (OJT) to ensure employees achieve the required level of technical competence.
The role covers training across multiple areas, including but not limited to:
Instrumentation (field instruments, transmitters, control valves, PLCs, DCS, ESD systems, etc.)
Electrical systems (power generation and distribution, transformers, switchgears, motors, VFDs, electrical safety, etc.)
Control and communication systems
Analysers, F&G systems, and power management
Maintenance planning & scheduling and workshop practices
HSE standards, safe work practices, PTW, and industry best practices
Process control and maintenance contracts
Additionally, the candidate will be expected to:
Develop training schedules, programs, and competency assessments
Ensure all training content is accurate and aligned with plant equipment and processes
Coach and develop other trainers and maintenance staff
Support continuous improvement in maintenance practices and procedures
Prepare progress reports and contribute to training budget planning
