Position: Project Manager / E&I Package Manager
Start Date: 9th March
Rate: £65 per hour (Outside IR35)
Location: Surrey
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days remote
Duration: 12 months 
 
An experienced Project Manager / Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Package Manager is required to support the delivery of major electrical work packages on a complex engineering project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the delivery of key electrical packages for a large-scale greenfield facility, incorporating elements of brownfield integration requiring careful interface coordination.
 
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the focal point between the Client Project Management Team, internal 
project teams, procurement, and engineering functions.
• Lead the delivery of major electrical packages, including VFD-driven 
compressors and primary electrical equipment such as 110kV switchgear, 
transformers, medium and low voltage switchgear, and variable speed drives.
• Drive the multi-disciplinary execution of the RFQ process across assigned 
packages.
• Coordinate closely with construction teams regarding release of site dates, 
installation sequencing, and overall build strategy.
• Support engineering disciplines with a broad technical understanding of the 
overall project scope.
• Provide technical leadership to facilitate resolution of engineering issues.
• Engage effectively with key stakeholders to secure alignment and timely 
decision-making.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the client and major 
equipment suppliers.
 
Candidate Requirements:
• Significant experience in electrical engineering within complex industrial or 
energy projects.
• Demonstrable experience managing major equipment packages as a Package 
Engineer or Package Manager.
• Strong understanding of high-voltage electrical systems and associated 
infrastructure.
• Experience coordinating across engineering, procurement, and construction 
teams.
• Prior experience working with major equipment suppliers.
• Knowledge of ICSS design would be advantageous.
