The Opportunity
We are supporting the delivery of a major greenfield upstream development project in East Africa and are seeking an experienced Fluid, Cement & Waste Supervisor to join a high-profile drilling campaign.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to one of the region’s most significant and technically complex onshore developments, supporting large-scale pad drilling operations across an extensive acreage position with demanding environmental, logistical and operational requirements.

Project Environment

The development includes multiple drilling locations supporting production from heavy and waxy crude reservoirs and incorporates integrated production and water treatment infrastructure.
Key project considerations include:
  • Large-scale onshore drilling and pad development
  • Environmentally sensitive operating locations
  • Strict HSE and environmental compliance requirements
  • Complex logistics and contractor coordination
  • Strong focus on operational assurance and pollution prevention

Role Overview

The Fluid, Cement & Waste Supervisor will provide field leadership and technical oversight across drilling fluids, cementing and waste management activities to ensure safe, efficient and cost-effective execution.
Working closely with drilling teams and service contractors, responsibilities will include:
  • Supervising drilling fluid, cementing and waste management operations
  • Optimising fluid performance and cement integrity
  • Monitoring inventory, logistics and materials consumption
  • Managing contractor performance and service delivery
  • Ensuring compliance with operational procedures and HSE standards
  • Supporting reporting quality and operational assurance
  • Providing oversight during critical drilling activities
  • Driving efficiency improvements while maintaining operational integrity
Candidate Profile
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
  • Proven international drilling operations experience
  • Strong background in drilling fluids and cementing supervision
  • Experience within onshore operational environments
  • Exposure to multi-well campaigns and logistics-intensive projects
  • Ability to operate effectively within environmentally sensitive developments
  • Strong leadership, communication and contractor management capability
