Job Title: Document Controller

Location: Milan, Italy

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Document Controller to manage and control project documentation throughout the full project lifecycle. The role ensures that all engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning documents are properly registered, distributed, tracked, and archived in line with project procedures, client requirements, and industry standards. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain the Document Control System (DMS/EDMS).
  • Register, issue, track, and archive project documents, drawings, and correspondence.
  • Control document numbering, revisions, and distribution to all project stakeholders.
  • Support project teams with document submission, retrieval, and vendor documentation tracking.
  • Ensure document deliverables meet contractual and quality requirements.
  • Prepare document status reports and support final handover documentation (As-Builts, Data Books).
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Post-graduate experience in document control on major projects.
  • Offshore project experience preferred.
  • Proficient in EDMS platforms (e.g. Aconex, Procore, SharePoint, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office and ISO-based document control practices.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
