The expectation of the Deck Foreman is to be responsible for the activities for the Deck Crew, operates as the helicopter landing officer and ensure that work is carried out in a safe manner and in compliance with all statutory and organisational requirements.
Working as the appointed LOLER focal point within platform operations and carry out rigging duties as required.
Role and Responsibilities:
Take personal responsibility for safety and adhere to company’s Life Saving Rules.

Coordinate the activities of the Deck Crew, Materials Coordinators, Scaffolders and Crane Operators
Maintain all portable lifting equipment in good order, and ensure platform operates within LOLER regs with regards management of certified lifting equipment.
Act as rigging lift co-ordinator and Lifting Co-ordinator under LOLER Regs.
Supervise the loading and offloading of supply vessels.
Carry out banksman duties including deck and supply boat loading/unloading.
Manages all logistical aspects of deck management, including pre-planning of manifested cargo, deck lay down area utilisation, cargo distribution and back load Liaise with supply and support vessels.
Act as HLO when required.
Plans and manages scaffold and rigging operations by the deck crew.
Act as waste management controller/focal point.
Act as part of helideck fire team when required.
Effective communication of all operations to the deck crew.
Emergency response duties as defined by the Company’s Emergency Procedures and Station Bill
With the OTL, Work Preparator & Materials Controller, monitor materials movements on the materials tracker and manifest to ensure that priority workscopes are addressed in the correct order.
Ensure the daily logs and trip handovers are to a high standard and accurate.
Coach others within the department towards achieving competence in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance of appraisals in line with Company set timelines (Scorecards, Mid-Year Reviews and End of Year reviews). Ensure continuous development and training of team members.
Lead role in training of new personnel within the department and identify areas for development and or training.
Assist other trades and disciplines within limits of experience and capability.
Provide clear and descriptive handover to oncoming back to back and maintain comprehensive handover logs.
Perform in an emergency role as defined by the company's emergency response Procedures
