Location - Perth, Tayside

Our client, a highly successful manufacturing business is now looking to source a Customer and Export Manager to manage Customer Service and Logistics for global sales and distribution of their Silicon Carbide products at their facility in Perth, Scotland.

The business specialises in heating alloys, elements, modules and systems for industrial heating and high temperature applications. Primary markets are the semicon and solar industries, glass industry, chemical and petrochemical industries and many other branches of industry in which a high level of expertise and reliability are needed in the delivery of industrial heat.

Job summary

Some of the tasks include:

  • Management of day to day customer and export operations globally, including export certification and commissions, working under the business Trade Compliance Policy and customs procedures

  • Coordinate sales activities with all external markets, including pricing and budget management

  • Contribute to the creation and delivery of a clearly defined product/customer focused strategy for silicon carbide products

  • Collaborate with external sales teams to gather data on competitor activities and support the creation of sales and technical support literature

  • Managing a small team, ensure effective communication between departments, and colleagues globally

  • Occasional global travel to support markets and sales teams

Your profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in Exports, including contract review and international letter of credit would be advantageous
  • Minimum 4 years' experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong commercial understanding in decision making
