About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Crisis Management Lead for our major Oil and Gas client to oversee and drive crisis management initiatives across large-scale operational assets. This role involves leading the implementation of crisis management strategies, providing advisory support, and ensuring organizational readiness to respond to emergencies, planned events, and potential threats. You will be responsible for coordinating crisis management frameworks, maintaining response infrastructure, and guiding teams through high-pressure situations.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and maintain crisis management readiness, response, and recovery policies and procedures.
  • Provide expert advice on crisis management systems and their operation for disruptive events impacting business.
  • Validate and oversee Emergency Response Plans and related documentation to ensure strategic alignment and accuracy.
  • Lead the design and execution of Tier-1 and Tier-2 crisis management exercises, coordinating necessary resources for successful delivery.
  • Analyze recurring critical and non-critical crisis issues, recommending solutions to reduce operational risk.
  • Oversee the Duty Response Manager program, ensuring training, simulations, and readiness for Tier-1, Tier-2, and Tier-3 response teams.
  • Manage the operational functionality of emergency notification systems and crisis response infrastructure.
  • Develop and facilitate Incident Command System (ICS) training, monitoring performance and addressing skill gaps.
  • Guide and validate strategic pre-incident plans for high-risk sites in line with policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Disaster Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or Safety & Risk Management.
  • Associate Emergency Managers (AEM) designation.
  • ICS Level 100-300 certification; Train-the-Trainer (TOT) certification for ICS 100 & 200.
  • OPITO Major Emergency Management Initial Response (MEMIR) training.
  • Prior experience in Emergency Response/Crisis Management, time spent in a supervisory role within large-scale operational environments.
  • Proven experience leading tactical and strategic crisis initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of crisis and incident command systems, including competency delivery mechanisms.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident in delivering presentations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently, make complex decisions, and deliver solutions under pressure.
