Develop and enhance procedures to meet specialized business requirements while advising and guiding project teams on cost performance and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cost management frameworks and procedures
- Provide cost estimating, forecasting, accounting, reporting, benchmarking, and control guidance
- Review and validate cost estimates, assumptions, and project data for accuracy
- Analyze contractor/subcontractor cost submissions
- Standardize project cost processes and recommend improvements
- Prepare and review funding packages (Advance Commitments, Full Funding, Supplementary Funding)
- Maintain cost databases and benchmarking tools
- Participate in governance reviews, audits, and project gate reviews
- Provide subject matter expertise on estimating, forecasting, and reporting
- Identify cost risks and deviations and recommend mitigation strategies
- Support change management and change order cost estimating
- Ensure compliance with company cost procedures and governance requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, or related discipline
- Minimum 8 years in business/project control functions
- Minimum 4 years within Oil & Gas or energy projects
- Supervisory or contractor oversight experience preferred
- Experience supporting large integrated projects or capital programs
