Coordinator – Permit to Work (PTW)

We are seeking an experienced PTW Coordinator to manage and coordinate all aspects of Permit to Work activities during Hook-Up and Commissioning (HUC), including brownfield tie-ins, isolation design, risk assessments, HAZIDs and SIMOPS.
The role will ensure effective PTW planning, coordination and execution while maintaining alignment with project schedules, safety requirements and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities
Act as the focal point for all permits issued during the Hook-Up and Commissioning phases.
Support PTW planning and work execution in line with project schedules and deadlines.
Verify PTW applications, isolations and risk assessments before submission to the PTW office.
Ensure a strong link between PTW preparation, HSE requirements and work execution.
Confirm compliance with PTW originator and submission requirements.
Quality-check permits, supporting documents and certificates before issue, ensuring all required approvals and signatures are obtained.
Audit permits, isolations, confined space entry (CSE) and gas-testing requirements to ensure compliance with PTW procedures.
Support and attend PTW coordination and SIMOPS meetings.
Ensure timely submission and closure of permits in line with PTW procedures and the commissioning schedule.
Coordinate PTW activities across commissioning and completions teams to minimize potential clashes and SIMOPS with other work parties and disciplines.
Prepare daily and weekly PTW reports and liaise with Contractors and Subcontractors on PTW-related matters.
Monitor Contractor/Subcontractor progress and identify PTW-related issues and failure modes for lessons learned.
Coordinate isolation requirements and support the transfer of subsystems and systems to the HUC/Operations PTW system.
Conduct audits to verify that work is being properly controlled in accordance with project requirements and standards.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in a similar Permit to Work Coordinator role.
At least 5 years of experience with field equipment in an Oil & Gas processing, petrochemical, construction yard or shipyard environment.
Extensive knowledge of Oil & Gas onshore and offshore projects, including greenfield and brownfield environments.
In-depth knowledge of PTW procedures, permit execution, isolation design, confined space entry and gas-testing protocols.
Good knowledge of commissioning PTW coordination processes and associated project phases.
Experience with completions walkdowns and PSSR procedures.
Proven experience as a PTW Coordinator on large EPC projects.
Understanding of project completions, systemization, commissioning procedures and site method statements.
Experience in onshore and offshore construction, hook-up and commissioning activities.
International project experience with major EPC Contractors is preferred.
Experience across both FEED and execution phases of greenfield and brownfield projects is advantageous.
Exposure to Asian fabrication yards, particularly Chinese yards, would be an advantage.
Technical Knowledge

Hydrotesting and pipe cleaning
Flange management
N₂ and helium leak testing
ICSS commissioning
Loop checking
LV/MV/HV switchgear
Power management systems
Protection relays
GTC, EDG and GTG systems
