My client, the largest oil & gas operator in Denmark are urgently seeking a Control of Work Specialist to be based in Esbjerg on a contract basis.

Control of Work expert specialising in the implementation of Control of Work systems. The primary purpose of the role is to assist with bringing the client's practices offshore into conformance with their Referential in line with their IT security plan for 2019-2020.

Job Dimensions

 Understanding of offshore practices and organisation

 In-depth technical knowledge of Control of Work and e-vision

 Stakeholder management and reporting

 Resilient in the communication and application of client requirements

 Bias for action and delivery

 Coaching, training and competency assessment


 Deliver IT security milestones for CoW

 Stakeholder engagement onshore and offshore

 Assist with delivery of client CoW work rules replacing existing OSPs

 Offshore training, coaching and support with front line safety with respect to CoW


 Delivery of Isolation work rule meeting client referential in 2019

 Delivery of Locked Valve and Bolted Flange Management Procedure in 2019

 Offshore support for all related CoW topics including Isolations, Permit to Work, Task Risk Assessment, Operational Risk Assessment, Confined Space Entry, Hotwork, Working at Height and Overside

Qualifications / Experience required

 Experience of implementing and working with CoW in Oil and Gas industry

 Experience of Control of Work on offshore installations and typical support organisation

 Complete understanding of control of work including Isolations, Long term isolations, Locked valve management, Operational Risk Assessment, TRA (L2RA), SIMOPs

 Experience of training and coaching offshore personnel in the correct implementation of CoW

 Experience of front line self-verification processes to assess CoW effectiveness in the field

 Experience of CoW systems for Hook-up and Commissioning

 Experience of working in e-vision electronic permit to work system

 Hold current BOSIET, MIST and other relevant certification for travelling offshore

 Fluent in Danish and English preferred
