About the Role We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Lead to join a major international LNG development project.
You will be responsible for the safe and timely commissioning of all control and instrumentation equipment and sub-systems, ensuring they are delivered in full operational condition to the Operations team.
This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing complex C&I systems, managing multiple contractors, and leading a multinational team across engineering and execution phases.

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Control & Instrumentation (C&I) Lead to join a major international LNG development project.
You will be responsible for the safe and timely commissioning of all control and instrumentation equipment and sub-systems, ensuring they are delivered in full operational condition to the Operations team.
This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing complex C&I systems, managing multiple contractors, and leading a multinational team across engineering and execution phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise commissioning engineering for all C&I equipment and systems during the engineering phase
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) as required
- Oversee site commissioning activities, managing interfaces between contractors and ensuring compliance with technical requirements
- Coordinate with all stakeholders (contractors, vendors, project teams, operations) to ensure safe and on-schedule commissioning
- Deliver fully commissioned systems (ICSS, PLC, analysers, metering equipment) to Operations in good condition
- Ensure smooth transition from commissioning to operations, including during SIMOPS and after hydrocarbon introduction
- Lead and mentor a team of up to 10 commissioning personnel on site
- Monitor and report progress, ensuring milestones such as MC (Mechanical Completion) and RFSU (Ready For Start-Up) are achieved safely and on time
- Bachelor’s degree in Controls & Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 15 years’ experience on large-scale onshore/offshore oil & gas projects
- At least 10 years in commissioning of C&I systems, including 5+ years in senior supervisory roles
- Proven ability to lead and coordinate teams of 5+ people in complex project environments
- Excellent stakeholder coordination, planning, and communication skills
- One of the largest LNG projects globally, featuring over 1,500 sub-systems including ICSS, PLC, analysers, and metering equipment
- International project teams based in Milan and Mozambique
- Direct supervision of 2 engineers in Milan and 8 on-site during execution phase
