Position Title: Contracts Lead - Dredging
Work Location : Qatar Onshore
Work hours per day: 10 hrs./day

Contract Duration: 3 Years

Estimated End Date: 2029

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Sciences, Law, Engineering, or supply Chain Management.
8 years’ experience in business-related functions such as contracts management, including at least 4 years in oil & gas industry, and including 1 year in supervisory or acting role.
Strong experience in dredging projects involving multiple interfaces, strict environmental regulations, and high commercial risk exposure
Knowledge in project business related functions such as planning, cost control, claims management, change management, pre and post award contract management, support services, lessons learned etc.
Significant experience with EPC contractors, subcontractors in major projects, including contract administration, claims management, services, and contractor performance management.
In-depth knowledge of contract law, commercial terms and conditions, and claims/dispute resolution.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills,
Ability to interpret engineering and technical documentation.

Key Job Accountabilities
Lead the pre-award and post-award contracts, negotiation, and administration of contract.
The role operates within large-scale major projects, including dredging project involving multiple interfaces, strict environmental regulations, and high commercial risk exposure. The incumbent must manage complex negotiations, contract changes and claims, and performance management while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company governance.
Develop and implement contract strategies to ensure alignment with project objectives and commercial best practices.
Lead contract negotiations with contractors to secure optimal commercial and risk positions for the company.
Administer contracts in compliance with contractual terms and conditions and ensure timely resolution of claims and variations.
Prepare and issue contractual correspondence to manage compliance, change orders, and disputes effectively, review and validate invoices for payment.
Advise project teams on contract interpretation and risk mitigation strategies. Draft contractual documents and prepare change order analysis and valuation in accordance with contractual requirements.
Collaborate with Legal and Finance teams to address complex contractual and liability issues.
Contribute to the development of contract management policies and templates to enhance functional excellence.
