CONTRACT ENGINEER - Oil & Gas Operator - Paris

Our client, a major energy company, require a Contracts Engineer to be based out of their Paris offices managing the below scope of work:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and execute relevant Call for Tenders for the Project
  • Develop the CFT package: commercial structure, contract terms, etc -
  • Handle all communication with contractors in this phase
  • Organize clarification process, including face to face meetings where needed
  • Establish and agree CFT evaluation process, document and agree this before bid opening
  • Evaluate commercial aspects of the bids and recommend award
  • Support project team to obtain relevant approvals
  • Prepare contracts for signature and obtain signatures
  • Contribute to the Contracting expertise of the team: conduct REX, share learnings
  • Ensure the follow-up of the contract during the project execution: - Handle all communication with contractors in this phase
  • Monitor the contract execution
  • Perform claim prevention assessment
  • Manage the contractual aspect of the packages
  • Prepare the REX of the project in terms of contracts

Required skills and Experience:

  • Contracts experience within the oil & gas industry
  • Previous experience during the call for tender (CFT) stage
