We are looking for a fulltime Contracts Engineer in Zoetermeer.

This offshore organisation takes responsibility for complete offshore wind projects. This involves every aspect from Design and Engineering up to Fabrication, Transport and Installation of complete windmills, substations and cable infrastructure.


The Contracts Engineer supports the Project Management in drafting and reviewing all contract documentation and correspondence.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support Project Manager(s) on all commercial and contractual matters.
  • Define contractual strategy and ensure adherence to such strategy during the Project.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual procedures.
  • Monitor all project correspondence for commercial and contractual relevant matters.
  • Supervise the entire project administration process and maintain correspondence registers, always in anticipation of potential claims.
  • Draft commercial and contractual project correspondence.
  • Claims management.
  • Participate in project meetings and ensure adequate administrational follow up
  • Liaise with legal department on behalf of the project team where required
  • Provide day to day legal advice to the Project team.
  • Provide commercial/contractual/legal input for project close-outs.

Qualifications & Capability:

  • A business law education at university level or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in similar position in the same industry (offshore engineering/ renewables)
  • Knowledge of UK Law and preferably German Law
  • Good Command of verbal and written English. Dutch / German would be advantageous
  • Excellent computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Accurate and structured
  • Team player

We offer:

A fulltime job (40 hours per week) in an internationally orientated company. We are looking for a candidate to join the company as an employee and we're not hiring (independent) contractors for this position.

Since the location is in The Netherlands we are looking for a candidate based in The Netherlands.
