Senior Contract Engineer – Claims & Counterclaims (Onshore Oil & Gas EPCm Project) πŸ“ Location: Grandpuits Site, France (Hybrid – primarily site-based with occasional telework) πŸ“… Start Date: June 2025 πŸ’Ό Contract Type: 6 month with potential for renewal πŸ—£ Languages: French & English (mandatory) We are recruiting an experienced Senior Contract Engineer with specialist expertise in claims and counterclaims to support the execution phase of a major transformation project at an onshore industrial refinery site, operating under an EPCm contract model. This is a critical, site-based position for a seasoned professional who can manage and coordinate complex contract claims and counterclaims in a high-stakes, multi-stakeholder environment. πŸ”§ Key Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate all claim and counterclaim activities across multiple work packages. Provide expert support on contract analysis, claims resolution, correspondence drafting, and risk mitigation. Assist in negotiations, prepare supporting documentation and defense strategies. Support contract amendments, change management, and settlement of disputes. Liaise with internal and HQ entities including legal and contract teams. Contribute to lessons learned and REX documentation. Maintain detailed, accurate records on SharePoint and prepare weekly status reports. βœ… Requirements: 15+ years of contract engineering experience in EPC/EPCm project environments. Minimum 5 years of claim management on major onshore Oil & Gas industrial projects. Proven ability to assess, manage, and resolve contractual disputes. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships. Fluency in both French and English is essential. Experience working on site and within fast-paced project execution environments.
