We have a current opportunity for a Construction Superintendent (Piping) on a contract basis. The position will be based in Overseas - Oman- Sohar -Onshore.

Working Hours/Day – 8-10 Hrs/day
Working Days/Week - 6 days/week
Working Days/Month - 26 days/month
Leave Rotation - 12 weeks on/2 weeks off
Job purpose
The main role of piping superintendent is to plan and manage fabrication and erection of piping for offshore structures to ensure safe and successful execution of CP Topsides piping fabrication scopes based on construction execution sequence and schedule. He has to meet overall project objectives by insuring HSE, Quality, planning, effective and efficient delivery of NFPS Compression Project.
Ensure sequence of spools fabrication is well studied and planned, capable to find practical solutions with engineering to solve clashes at site and effectively manage issues and resolution through strong interfaces with both company and contractor teams delivering full alignment of the Fabrication execution.
Job Context & Major Challenge
Responsible for ensuring the safe and timely execution of Piping fabrication, installation and completion to meet project schedule and priorities.
Exercise control over workmanship ensuring conformance to relevant codes, standards and specifications.
Analyze data effectively and report key issues to site management team.
Ensure that there are sufficient and balanced resources and technical expertise available to execute piping scope.
Major challenge for the role is maintaining strong interfaces between Company and Contractor teams to ensure alignment and issue resolution.
Key Job accountabilities
Ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and regulations during fabrication process.
Ensure that all piping are properly preserved as per approved project specs.
Share lessons learned and best practices with contractor.
Promote safe working environment by attending TBT, RA and being visible at site.
Direct all Piping installation and completion activity to ensure zero carry-over works upon leaving the yard
Manages and ensures successful execution of CP Topsides piping fabrication project components to meet prioritized objectives (Safety, Quality, Schedule, and others, as appropriate).
To supervise and control the activities of the Contractor/Subcontractors related to the piping fabrication, Mechanical Completion, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning to ensure that it complies with contractual requirements, project documentation and applicable International Standards.
To check the constructability aspects, as well as the compliance to all technical requirements, of the deliverables provided by the Engineering Team Contractor.
To review deviations to client construction standards for comments with Contractors / Subcontractors input, to deliver a consistent dossier (documents, materials, procured and fabricated items, precom/com dossiers, as built …) for the construction activities. Identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and/or quality and recommend corrective actions as required.

Knowledge and Experience
8 years’ experience of large offshore decks/topsides/living quarters in a Piping supervisory position
Experience with multinational teams
Experience of exotic, GRE and carbon steel piping systems
Good working knowledge and understanding of industry standard work practices and codes/standards.
Experience of spool fabrication and installation.
Experience of piping completions – line walks, hydrotesting, flushing/drying, re-instatement and flange management
CRA clad piping experience
Technical and Business Skills
Excellent track records in construction safety results
Familiar with design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria related to major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook-up, as applicable to the project scope.
Knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities.
Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc.
