Key Accountabilities
- Provide visible safety leadership and instill a safety-first culture.
- Review/comment on contractor’s technical and non-technical documents.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and contractual obligations.
- Apply contractual and technical acumen to resolve schedule and cost issues.
- Build collaborative relationships with contractors and internal functions.
- Participate in planning, risk assessments, and schedule mitigation.
- Ensure daily/weekly contractor walk-throughs and safety checks.
- Attend workface planning, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
- Monitor contractor progress, constraints, and performance reports.
- Support smooth transition to pre-commissioning and mechanical completion.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Sciences.
- Minimum 8 years in large Oil & Gas construction projects, including 1 year in a supervisory/oversight role.
- Strong background in mechanical construction, installation, hook-up, pre-commissioning, preferably in LNG projects.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical equipment, piping systems, installation processes, and industry codes.
- Exposure to oil & gas operators, EPC contractors, or heavy construction firms.
- Familiarity with design standards, safety codes, and brownfield execution.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PDF).
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Ability to read/interpret AFC drawings, piping fabrication plans, Primavera schedules, Navisworks 3D models.
- Knowledge of document control systems and advanced work packaging.
- Understanding of mechanical design codes and safety standards for onshore LNG facilities.
