We are looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent (Mechanical/HVAC) to oversee the planning, preparation and execution of mechanical and HVAC activities, from fabrication yard activities through to load-out. The role will ensure that construction activities are carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements, standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the execution of mechanical/HVAC fabrication activities and ensure project objectives for Safety, Quality and Schedule are achieved.
Supervise and control Contractor/Subcontractor activities related to piping fabrication, Mechanical Completion, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning.
Ensure construction activities comply with contractual requirements, project documentation and applicable international standards.
Review constructability and technical requirements of engineering deliverables.
Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards and specifications.
Identify progress and quality concerns and recommend corrective actions.
Review Contractor progress reports and highlight critical issues, delays and challenges.
Coordinate with Contractors/Subcontractors to monitor progress and reporting for Mechanical Completion, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning activities.
Participate in risk assessments, pre-job meetings and technical meetings.
Ensure adequate resources and technical expertise are available to support mechanical activities.
Requirements
Diploma qualification.
Minimum 8 years of experience working with large offshore decks, topsides or living quarters in a mechanical environment.
Experience working with multinational teams.
Good knowledge of project execution procedures and field management techniques, including:
Fabrication
Welding
Lifting
Mechanical testing
Completions
Experience with Oil & Gas companies, contractors, service companies or heavy construction companies.
Knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes and safety requirements related to fabrication, transportation, installation, brownfield execution and hook-up.
Knowledge of offshore/onshore facilities, structures and yard operations.
Knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities.
Experience working within large-scale operating organisations.
