Construction Superintendent (Mech /HVAC CP8S)

We are looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent – Mechanical/HVAC to oversee the planning, preparation and execution of Mechanical/HVAC activities for a major Oil & Gas project, from yard fabrication through load-out.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee Mechanical/HVAC activities from yard preparation and fabrication through load-out.
Ensure project execution meets HSE, Quality and Schedule objectives.
Ensure design constructability and compliance with project specifications, standards and applicable codes.
Supervise and control Contractor/Subcontractor activities related to piping fabrication, Mechanical Completion, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning.
Review engineering deliverables for constructability and technical compliance.
Review deviations from project construction standards and ensure proper documentation and dossiers.
Monitor fabrication progress and quality, identify areas of concern and recommend corrective actions.
Review Contractor progress reports and highlight critical issues, delays and deviations.
Liaise with Contractors/Subcontractors to monitor progress and reporting for Mechanical Completion, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning.
Participate in risk assessments, pre-job meetings and technical meetings as required.

Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 8 years of experience in large offshore decks, topsides or living quarters within a Mechanical environment.
Experience working with multinational teams.
Good knowledge of project execution procedures and field management techniques.
Experience in fabrication, welding, lifting, mechanical testing and completions.
Experience with Oil & Gas companies, contractors, service companies or heavy construction organizations.
Knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes and safety requirements related to major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution and hook-up.
Knowledge of offshore/onshore facilities and yard operations.
Understanding of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG facilities.
Experience working within large-scale Operations or Project organizations.
