Construction Superintendent (Electrical)

Role Purpose The Construction Superintendent (Electrical) is responsible for the safe and timely execution of all electrical construction activities, including the installation and commissioning of electrical substation systems. The role ensures compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards while coordinating with EPC contractors, vendors, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee installation and commissioning of electrical systems, panels, and equipment.
  • Review construction sequences, work plans, method statements, and pre-task planning.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, project specifications, and permit-to-work systems.
  • Monitor EPC contractor activities and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Conduct and witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) to verify equipment integrity before shipment.
  • Coordinate with vendors, OEMs, and EPC contractors on technical documentation and inspections.
  • Support commissioning activities, ensuring electrical systems meet quality and operational standards.
  • Participate in site inspections, safety programs, incident investigations, and weekly progress meetings.
  • Ensure technical alignment and compliance with project management systems and standards.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in electrical construction for LNG and/or oil & gas projects.
  • Proven background in brownfield execution with large utility systems.
  • Knowledge of CO₂ sequestration projects is an advantage.
  • Strong ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in English (written & spoken) and computer literacy in office and technical applications.
