Position Tittle: Construction Superintendent (Civil & Structural)
Work Location: Qatar Onshore
Contract Term: 36 Months
Working hours: 8-10 Hours/day
Working days: 6days/week
The Construction Superintendent (Civil & Structural) shall provide the Technical and Construction expertise for CO2 Sequestration Project which involves company North, South, Lot W15, RLIC pipeline and Electrical cable corridor and interact daily with construction team and counterparts in CO2 Sequestration project Contractor organization.
This position is to supervise and monitor the construction activities involved
Civil; Steel Structure & Architecture works. To ensure compliance with the approved construction sequence, project requirements, safety, quality, schedule, cost objectives and Company specifications.
Accountabilities
Review construction sequence, work plans, pre-task planning and method statements to ensure comprehensive safety and feasibility.
Provide Company representation in monitoring and coordinating site activities of the ESW/EPC Contractor and its subcontractor(s). Reports on the construction activities, progress, areas of concern and mitigating actions. Participates in appropriate weekly
construction discipline review meetings and assist the ESW/EPC Contractor and subcontractor(s) in the implementation of site-specific SHE programs to meet safety
improvement strategy & objectives, emergency response and evacuation drill programs.
Participate in incident/accident investigation under the SHE Coordinator in the area.
Ensure construction work is carried out in accordance with Company rules, regulations, and standards and permit to work procedures as applicable and review work
and inspection results to ensure compliance with EPC Contract requirements. Interface and coordinate with Field Engineering and QA/QC sections.
Attend PMC and CLT Completions meetings to provide assistance in Mechanical
Completion, punch list clearing, Commissioning, and Start-up activities as required
facilitating construction deliverables for these activities.
Maintain Construction focus and overview of civil, earthwork and structure fabrication supporting priority completions schedules.
Work with Construction superintendents and engineers to develop and maintain overall
construction and completion metrics to track PMC/Completions construction deliverables.
Responsible for leading various construction scopes which involves construction activities
such as Civil/Steel Structures & Architectures and identifies project site issues and
executes/ stewards appropriate actions to resolution.
Responsible for implementation of lessons learned from previous projects with company and/or Contractor, as well as capturing and communicating construction lessons learned for the current project and bring execution solutions that favour safe construction execution and transition to Commissioning activities.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Sciences or Engineering
8 years experience with Large Projects in Construction related disciplines (e.g., construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up, etc.) in the Oil & Gas Industry.
Technical and Business Skills
Experience with Oil and Gas companies, contractors, service companies, or heavy construction companies.
Knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria related to major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook-up, as applicable to the
project scope.
Knowledge of offshore facilities and structures, onshore facilities, or yard operations as applicable to a project scope.
Knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities.
Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc.
A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English.
Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications.
