Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fast Moving Workover Rig (FMWR) Construction Superintendent to oversee the fabrication, assembly, modification, and commissioning of fast‑moving workover rigs. This role is responsible for ensuring that all rigs are built or refurbished to meet project deadlines, engineering specifications, safety requirements, and operational readiness for well servicing and intervention activities.

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fast Moving Workover Rig (FMWR) Construction Superintendent to oversee the fabrication, assembly, modification, and commissioning of fast‑moving workover rigs. This role is responsible for ensuring that all rigs are built or refurbished to meet project deadlines, engineering specifications, safety requirements, and operational readiness for well servicing and intervention activities.
Key Responsibilities Project & Construction Oversight
- Supervise all phases of FMWR construction and refurbishment, including structural, mechanical, and electrical assembly.
- Ensure all work follows approved engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate daily activities of subcontractors, rig builders, welders, electricians, and on‑site service providers.
- Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards (e.g., API 4F, 7K, 8C), project QA/QC plans, and company procedures.
- Participate in inspections, Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), and pre‑commissioning activities.
- Verify proper installation, alignment, and testing of critical rig equipment including mast, substructure, drawworks, BOP systems, and power units.
- Monitor schedules, manpower allocation, and productivity to meet construction milestones.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Interface with procurement, logistics, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues and prevent delays.
- Enforce strict compliance with HSE procedures and site safety plans.
- Conduct safety walk‑downs, toolbox talks, and assist in incident investigations.
- Ensure all lifting, welding, electrical, and commissioning work is performed safely and with valid permits.
- Support rig moves and mobilization from the construction yard to field locations.
- Coordinate rig‑up and commissioning activities at well sites to ensure operational readiness.
- Handover completed rigs to Drilling or Workover Operations following inspection and certification.
- Strong technical understanding of FMWR design, construction, and field deployment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and rig layout schematics.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Solid knowledge of construction standards, inspection processes, and project controls.
- High commitment to safety, quality, and timely project delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Experience in a relevant discipline post‑degree.
- Excellent spoken and written English, with proven ability to produce clear technical reports.
