Construction Specialist (Lifting & Scaffolding)

We are seeking an experienced Construction Specialist – Lifting & Scaffolding to oversee lifting and scaffolding activities for a major LNG construction project.
Reporting to the Head of Construction, the successful candidate will manage the execution of lifting and scaffolding activities, ensuring that works are delivered safely and effectively within approved scope, budget and schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee lifting and scaffolding activities during project execution.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, project specifications and applicable international standards.
• Supervise and control Contractor/Subcontractor lifting and scaffolding activities.
• Review construction deliverables for constructability and technical compliance.
• Monitor Contractor/Subcontractor progress and identify areas of concern related to schedule and quality.
• Review progress reports and highlight critical issues, delays and deviations.
• Coordinate with Contractors and Subcontractors on lifting and scaffolding matters.
• Participate in Risk Assessment kick-off meetings, Pre-Job Meetings and technical meetings.
• Review deviations against applicable construction standards.
• Support the preparation and consistency of construction dossiers, including materials, fabrication, pre-commissioning/pre-completion and as-built documentation.
• Participate in REX and Lessons Learned activities.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of overall experience on large construction projects involving lifting and scaffolding within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong experience in a specialist role, including oversight of service/vendor personnel.
• Experience with Oil & Gas companies, contractors, service companies or heavy construction companies.
• Knowledge of relevant design standards, specifications, codes and safety requirements.
• Experience related to major fabrication, transportation, installation, brownfield execution and hook-up.
• Knowledge of offshore/onshore facilities and/or yard operations.
• Understanding of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities.
• Experience working within large-scale operating/project organizations.
