Construction Specialist

Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Construction Specialist – Lifting & Scaffolding to support construction execution activities within large-scale oil and gas projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient lifting and scaffolding operations, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring that all activities are executed in accordance with project specifications, procedures, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate lifting and scaffolding construction activities during project execution.
• Ensure that all lifting and scaffolding operations are performed in accordance with project procedures, engineering specifications, and safety requirements.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with construction schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Provide technical guidance to contractors regarding lifting plans, scaffolding design, and installation methods.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Participate in constructability reviews, risk assessments, and safety meetings.
• Ensure lifting and scaffolding operations comply with international standards, codes, and project specifications.
• Support the resolution of field technical issues and provide practical solutions to maintain construction progress.
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting of construction progress, safety performance, and site activities.
• Promote strong HSE culture and ensure adherence to company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 8 years of experience in oil and gas construction projects.
• Proven experience in lifting operations and scaffolding management within large-scale projects.
• Experience working with EPC contractors, operators, or major construction companies.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of construction execution, fabrication, installation, and field operations.
• Experience with heavy lifting operations and scaffolding systems.
• Familiarity with oil and gas construction standards, codes, and procedures.
• Understanding of welding, mechanical testing, completions, and hook-up activities.
• Knowledge of construction safety requirements and risk management.
