We are hiring Construction Lead (Structure). This position is based in Onshore, Qatar
 
Contract duration: 36 Months
Location: Qatar Onshore
Working Hours/Day – 8-10 Hrs/day
Working Days/Week - 6 days/week
Working Days/Month - 22 days/month
Leave Rotation - 12 weeks on/2 weeks off
 
Job purpose
Oversee the planning preparation and execution of all aspects of the Compression Platform Structural Fabrication requirements of the project from yard activities to load out ensuring all key objectives are achieved or exceeded. In addition ensure the constructability of the design is consistent with established Project Engineering Darawings and industry processes and standards, effectively manage issues and resolution through strong interfaces with both company and contractor teams delivering full alignment of the Fabrication execution.
 
 
Job Context & Major Challenge
Directly involved with the development of fabrication plans and execution of the plans overseeing Compression onshore fabrication scope responsibilities and duties safely, efficiently and effectively. Ensure that there is sufficient and balanced resources and technical expertise available to support the stakeholders, efficiency in resource deployment to support the LQ Topsides fabrication activities and respect of planning. Major challenge for the role is maintaining strong interfaces between Company and Contractor and Contractor teams to ensure alignment and issue resolution.
 
Key Job Accountabilities
Ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and regulations during fabrication process
Manages and ensures successful execution of LQ Topsides structures fabrication project components to meet prioritized objectives (Safety, Quality, Schedule, and others, as appropriate).  
To supervise and control the activities of the Contractor/Subcontractors related to the Structure fabrication, Mechanical Completion to ensure that it complies with contractual requirements, project documentation and applicable International Standards.
To check the constructability aspects, as well as the compliance to all technical requirements, of the deliverables provided by the Engineering Team Contractor.
To review deviations to company construction standards for comments with Contractors / Subcontractors input, to deliver a consistent dossier (documents, materials, activities. 6. Identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and/or quality and recommend corrective actions as required.

To Liaise with Contractors/Subcontractors for all structure subject, MC, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning to ensure the Contractors/Subcontractors progress follow up and reporting.
 To Participate to Risk Assessments, kick off meetings and Pre-Job Meetings, technical meeting etc. as required in accordance with Company's referential.
To participate to REX and Lessons Learned for the Company.
 
Qualification
Bachelors Degree in Sciences or Engineering
 
Knowledge and Experience
8 years specific involvement in project execution with previous leading roles in structural Fabrication within an EPC contract execution environment in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel. Additional relevant work experience may be substituted for technical education.
Good knowledge of Project Execution procedures and field management and techniques including fabrication, welding, lifting, mechanical testing and completions.
 
Technical and Business skills
Experience with Oil and Gas companies, contractors, service companies, or heavy construction companies. Knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria related to major fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook-up, as applicable to the project scope. Knowledge of offshore facilities and structures, onshore facilities, or yard operations as applicable to a project scope. Knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG production facilities. Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc.
