Construction Lead (Mech /HVAC CP4N)

We are currently looking for an experienced Construction Lead – Mechanical/HVAC to lead and manage the Mechanical/HVAC scope for a major Oil & Gas EPC project. The role will be responsible for coordinating with EPC Contractors and Subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient and successful execution of fabrication and construction activities.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the Mechanical/HVAC scope to achieve project objectives related to HSE, Quality, Schedule and Delivery.
Manage and coordinate EPC Contractor activities throughout the fabrication and construction phases.
Oversee the development and execution of mechanical plans for onshore and topsides fabrication activities.
Ensure design constructability and compliance with project specifications, standards and applicable codes.
Supervise Contractor/Subcontractor activities related to fabrication and Mechanical Completion.
Monitor progress, quality and resource requirements and identify potential issues requiring corrective action.
Review Contractor progress reports and highlight critical issues, delays and deviations.
Coordinate with Contractors/Subcontractors on Mechanical Completion, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning activities.
Participate in risk assessments, pre-job meetings, technical meetings and project coordination meetings.
Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical Requirements
Strong experience with large rotating gas compressor packages, turbine-driven compressors and gas turbine generator units.
Good knowledge of HVAC systems, particularly those supporting offshore electrical and instrumentation rooms.
Knowledge of fabrication, welding, lifting, mechanical testing and completion activities.
Good understanding of project execution procedures and field management.
Knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes and safety requirements applicable to major Oil & Gas projects.
Understanding of offshore facilities, onshore facilities and yard operations.
Knowledge of execution methods and risks associated with sour gas and LNG facilities.

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering.
Minimum 8 years of relevant project execution experience in Mechanical/HVAC scope within an EPC environment in the Oil & Gas industry.
At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory/lead role, including oversight of service or vendor personnel.
Experience with Oil & Gas companies, EPC contractors, service companies or heavy construction organizations.
Experience working within large-scale Operations or Project organizations.
Experience working with multinational teams is an advantage.
