About the Role
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Construction Lead (Electrical & IT) to support the delivery of a major LNG expansion project. The successful candidate will lead and manage EPC contractor activities associated with topsides electrical and IT construction scopes, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution across fabrication, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases.
This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage interfaces across multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery in line with schedule, quality, and HSE objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee EPC contractor execution of electrical and IT construction activities for topsides fabrication scopes.
• Ensure all activities are delivered safely and in compliance with project HSE and quality standards.
• Supervise contractor and subcontractor activities related to fabrication, mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
• Monitor construction progress, identify areas of concern, and drive corrective actions where required.
• Review construction deliverables to ensure constructability and compliance with project specifications, standards, and international codes.
• Coordinate closely with engineering, operations, maintenance, and project teams to ensure alignment and effective issue resolution.
• Review contractor progress reports and provide oversight on schedule performance, risks, and execution challenges.
• Support fabrication planning and execution activities to ensure efficient resource deployment and adherence to project milestones.
• Participate in technical meetings, risk assessments, pre-job meetings, and lessons learned initiatives.
• Ensure delivery of complete and accurate construction dossiers, including as-built documentation and completion records.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Experience

• Prior experience in construction execution within large-scale Oil & Gas or LNG projects.
• Previous experience in fabrication, installation, commissioning, hook-up, or construction execution activities.
• Supervisory or contractor oversight experience.
• Experience working with major operators, EPC contractors, or heavy industrial construction organizations.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of project execution methodologies and field construction management.
• Experience with electrical and IT systems within large industrial or offshore projects.
• Good understanding of fabrication processes, lifting operations, testing, completions, and commissioning activities.
• Knowledge of international construction standards, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Familiarity with offshore/onshore facilities, yard operations, and LNG or sour gas project environments.
• Strong stakeholder coordination and contractor management capabilities
