Construction Division Manager (Site)

Orion Group is seeking an experienced Construction Division Manager to support a major LNG restoration project in Qatar.
The successful candidate will lead complex demolition and construction activities from damage assessment and site clearance through reconstruction, completion, commissioning and handover to Operations.
The role requires strong oversight of EPC contractors and subcontractors, construction schedule, manpower, equipment utilization, safety, quality and overall project delivery.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and approve demolition plans, construction execution plans, procedures, specifications, deliverables and contractor progress reports
• Lead construction execution across brownfield and greenfield environments
• Coordinate closely with Operations, Engineering, Commissioning, SHES and Quality teams
• Manage EPC contractors and subcontractors throughout demolition and reconstruction activities
• Verify contractor manpower and equipment utilization during reimbursable scopes
• Identify construction issues, determine root causes and develop mitigation plans
• Drive safe construction execution through completion and transition to commissioning
• Lead major site activities involving approximately 3,000 construction personnel
• Maintain strong performance across safety, quality, cost, schedule and project milestones 

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Sciences
• Minimum 12 years of experience in construction-related disciplines within major Oil & Gas projects
• Minimum 3 years of management-level experience within Construction, Engineering or Project Management with EPC execution responsibility
• Strong experience in construction, fabrication, installation, execution, completion and/or hook-up activities
• Proven experience managing major EPC contractors and subcontractors
• Extensive experience in brownfield and greenfield construction
• Strong LNG and sour gas facility experience
• Proven experience with Advanced Work Packaging (AWP)
• Systems completion management experience
• Strong construction safety track record
• Experience with major Tier 1 EPC contractors, vendors and subcontractors
• Demolition project and brownfield experience preferred
• Excellent written and spoken English
