Construction Area Manager

We are seeking an experienced Construction Area Manager to lead and oversee EPC construction activities on a major Oil & Gas project in Qatar.
This role is responsible for ensuring construction is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedule, budget, and quality requirements while supporting successful project completion and start-up.


Key Responsibilities

• Lead EPC contractor and subcontractor construction activities.
• Promote a strong HSE culture and ensure compliance with project safety standards.
• Develop and execute construction strategies and site execution plans.
• Monitor project progress, productivity, cost, and schedule performance.
• Review construction methodologies, work packs, lifting plans, and site procedures.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations teams.
• Manage contractor performance, change orders, and construction risks.
• Resolve interface issues and construction constraints.
• Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, and project handover activities.
• Provide regular progress reporting to project leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science.
• Minimum 15 years of Oil & Gas construction experience on major EPC projects.
• At least 5 years in a management role overseeing EPC construction execution.
• Strong background in brownfield projects, fabrication, installation, hook-up, and commissioning.
• Experience managing EPC contractors and subcontractors.
• Excellent knowledge of construction execution, safety standards, and project controls.
• Strong leadership, planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
