Company Representative – Fabrication Yard (China)
Contract Position | Rotational | Oil & Gas / LNG Sector
We are looking for an experienced Company Representative to join a major international oil & gas project at a fabrication yard in China (Nantong, near Shanghai).
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the client’s representative at the fabrication yard, ensuring safe and high-quality execution of steel fabrication and modular works.
Promote and enforce HSE culture, setting the standard by example.
Build strong working relationships with contractors, attending daily and weekly meetings, and maintaining a visible presence on the shop floor.
Monitor welding, coating, insulation, hydrotesting, and preservation activities.
Oversee QC supervision, ensuring flawless documentation and quality standards are met.
Develop and maintain a progress database, extracting and validating production data.
Lead walk-throughs, inspections, and sign-off of check sheets and punch lists.
Prepare weekly progress and quality reports for management.
Location:
Based in China (fabrication yard, north of Shanghai).
Requirements:
Mechanical engineering degree or diploma.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in steel fabrication and related works within Oil & Gas.
Knowledge of AWS D1.1 and ASME B31.3.
Strong Excel and reporting skills.
Strong leadership, communication, and HSE culture.
Fluent Chinese language skills (mandatory).
Strong English communication skills.
This role offers the chance to work on a large-scale LNG development, overseeing high-value modular fabrication and ensuring top-quality delivery.
