Position Overview
The Community Liaison Officer serves as the primary link between the organization and the local community. The role is responsible for building positive relationships with community stakeholders, addressing concerns, facilitating communication, and supporting community engagement initiatives. The Community Liaison Officer ensures that community interests are represented and that organizational activities are conducted with transparency and mutual understanding.
All personnel are expected to contribute to creating a positive HSEQ culture within Subsea7 and ensure familiarity with and adherence to local HSEQ codes and practices.

Key Responsibilities & Activities
Community Engagement & Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with community members, leaders, local authorities, and partner organizations.
- Act as the main point of contact for community inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
- Organize and facilitate community meetings, forums, workshops, and outreach activities.
- Foster positive community relations and promote trust in the organization.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Communicate organizational projects, initiatives, and updates to community stakeholders.
- Gather and analyze community feedback and communicate findings to management.
- Prepare presentations, reports, newsletters, and communication materials for community audiences.
- Support conflict resolution and address community issues in a timely and professional manner.
Program Support
- Assist in planning and implementing community development and engagement programs.
- Coordinate partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, educational institutions, and local organizations.
- Monitor community needs and identify opportunities for collaboration and social impact initiatives.
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate records of stakeholder interactions and community engagement activities.
- Prepare regular reports on community relations activities, risks, concerns, and opportunities.
- Track community engagement metrics and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and relevant regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Social Sciences, Community Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in community relations, stakeholder engagement, public affairs, social performance, or a similar role.
- Experience working with diverse stakeholder groups and communities.
- Familiarity with local government processes and community development principles is an advantage.
