Commissioning Telecom & Cybersecurity Lead

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Commissioning Lead (Telecom & Cybersecurity) to join a major offshore LNG project in Qatar. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the commissioning of telecom systems and Industrial Control System (ICS) cybersecurity activities, ensuring all work is executed safely and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate all telecom and cybersecurity commissioning activities (onshore and offshore).
  • Ensure compliance with IEC 62443 cybersecurity standards and company policies.
  • Supervise vendor activities including SAT, OTP, punch list clearance, and system database usage.
  • Oversee commissioning of systems such as:
    • DCS, FGS, IPS, HIPPS, ELICS, PLCs
    • CCTV, PAGA, VHF/UHF Radio, RACON, LAN/WAN, Meteorological Systems
  • Manage and monitor firewall and network configuration (L2/L3/L3.5).
  • Coordinate with EPC contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Offshore mobilization will be required during specific commissioning phases.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in telecom and cybersecurity commissioning within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Certifications: CCNA, IEC 62443 (or equivalent cybersecurity certifications).
  • Strong understanding of ICS/SCADA systems and telecom packages.
  • Hands-on experience with fiber optic testing (OTDR, power meter), endpoint security, and system backups.
  • Proven ability to lead commissioning activities in a SIMOPS environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
