We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Lead (Offshore Electrical) to oversee all electrical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities carried out offshore by the EPC Contractor. The role will ensure that electrical systems and sub-systems meet project specifications and approved procedures.

Location: Qatar – Offshore

Key Responsibilities
Oversee offshore electrical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities and ensure safe and compliant execution.
Witness the Contractor’s scope of work and validate testing and check sheets in accordance with project requirements.
Monitor construction activities and progress during pre-shutdown and shutdown activities.
Monitor the commissioning schedule and ensure activities are aligned with project milestones.
Follow up on punch-list creation, categorization and clearance.
Review and verify completion dossiers for mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning through to handover.
Monitor and verify Contractor preservation activities against project requirements.
Monitor the progress and status of sub-systems using the Completion Management System and ensure timely handovers.
Oversee and control mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning documentation.
Participate in walkdowns, PTW/SIMOPS meetings, offshore meetings and commissioning activities.
Support Operations during start-up.
Capture and share lessons learned for inclusion in the project lessons-learned register.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering.
Minimum 8 years of experience in large-project commissioning within the Oil & Gas industry, including at least 1 year in a supervisory, acting or personnel-oversight role.
Strong knowledge of completion certificate types and punch-list categorization.
Experience using Completion Management Systems (CMS), such as PIMS, WinPCS, ICAPS, Hexagon or similar.
Familiarity with construction, QA/QC and Operations interfaces.
Experience in pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up on major Oil & Gas projects.
Strong understanding of HSE standards and safe system handover practices.
