Commissioning Lead (Electrical)

We are currently looking for an experienced Commissioning Lead (Electrical) to join a major LNG expansion project in Qatar.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading Electrical Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning activities across assigned project areas, ensuring safe and efficient execution aligned with project milestones and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Electrical Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning activities for assigned areas
• Oversee energization, SATs, loop testing, function testing, and troubleshooting
• Coordinate with EPC Contractors, Vendors, OEMs, and Operations teams
• Review and approve commissioning procedures, method statements, and work packages
• Ensure compliance with project SHES standards and commissioning requirements
• Support system completion activities including walkdowns and PSSR processes
• Drive execution progress and resolve technical commissioning issues
• Validate testing and commissioning results and prepare reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences
• Minimum 8 years of commissioning experience within Oil & Gas or LNG projects
• Strong experience in Electrical Commissioning and System Completion
• Hands-on experience with HV/LV systems, transformers, switchboards, UPS, substations, lighting, earthing, and control systems
• Experience in brownfield and greenfield projects is advantageous
• Familiarity with ICAPS, WinPCS, or similar completions database software
• Strong communication, leadership, and coordination skills
